Nicole is unsuccessful in putting off the demanding Dr. Baker. EJ enters and is surprised to see Dr. Baker at the mansion. Nicole explains that he has come to allay EJ's concerns about the clinic and convinces Dr. Baker to speak with her in private. Alone with Nicole, Dr. Baker says if she doesn't give him the money by tomorrow, the charade is over. He storms out. Nicole sends EJ out to the pub for food, and plans on how to handle her situation with Dr. Baker. Brady arrives per Nicole's panicked call. She asks him for a million dollars and Brady refuses. Desperate, Nicole snags an antique from the DiMera mansion and calls Baker, asking if he'll accept a deposit. Baker says that will give her a couple of days. Meanwhile, EJ runs into Victor at the pub. Victor warns EJ about Nicole, and says it's only a matter of time before life with Nicole blows up in EJ's face. As Daniel stares at Chloe in her negligee, he has a fantasy to passionately kissing her. Embarrassed and upset, Chloe slams the door on him which accidentally hurts his finger. When she tries to help him bandage the finger, they have another moment of sexual attraction. Chloe covers her fluster with anger as Lucas walks in on this, wondering what's going on. Daniel explains he came to give Chloe and Lucas a gift from Kate. After he leaves, Lucas asks Chloe why she dislikes Daniel so much. Chloe denies it. Daniel meets up with Kate and she tells him that she believes Chloe and Lucas will work as a couple. She notices Daniel's bandaged finger. He minimizes, calls it an accident, and swears, with his own meaning, it won't ever happen again. Meanwhile, Chloe and Lucas make love while she recalls her intense moments with Daniel. Max and Chelsea visit Kate at the hospital. Max and Chelsea banter as Kate watches. Alone with Chelsea, Kate wonders what's going on between her and Max. Chelsea denies anything's going on, but Kate is not convinced. She warns Chelsea to be careful. With Kate's words in mind, Chelsea is guarded with Max. Once Chelsea is reassured they're just friends, she relaxes. At Titan, Victor offers Brady a job at the company. Nick pushes Sami back into her apartment and closes the door just before the bomb in the flower bouquet goes off. Sami and Lucas find Nick unconscious and call 911. Nick comes around, but the last thing he remembers is being on the beach with Chelsea. He's frantic because they were supposed to spend the night together, and he's afraid he'll lose her if he doesn't show up. The medics arrive and bandage his head wound, preparing to take him to the hospital to be checked out. Desperate to find Chelsea, Nick sneaks off. He calls Hope, who tells him Chelsea's on her way to Vegas. Nick books a flight for himself. Meanwhile, Chelsea is on the Touch the Sky plane, insisting to Stephanie that she's committed to Nick and nothing is going on between her and Jett -- which Stephanie doesn't believe. Jett wants to discuss his near-kiss with Chelsea, but she brushes off the incident. Max tells Jeremy he wants to see the designer clothes again, but Jeremy refuses.
